People of Virginia, however it be your decision on Monday next either the destinies of America may then irrevocably fixed. Stop and reflect; do not lightly give your votes to either for the Presidential chair.

Consider well the qualities requisite in him to whom confide the helm of state in this critical time.

The universe is convulsed he must be the man who can steer your bark through the storm. James Madison is not. Who with best intentions would strand you in ship. He lacks firmness, he lacks decision; already has indecision to.
