Rear Admiral W. B. Young, paymaster for the U. S. Navy, of Washington, arrived in Key West by plane this morning for a routine inspection of naval activities on the island. Admiral Young was accompanied by Lieut.-Comdr. J. W. Boundy of the staff of Rear Admiral A. B. Cook of Jacksonville, and Lieut.-Comdr. C. T. Abbott of Washington.
The party was met at the Boca Chica airport by Capt. C. E. Reordan, commandant of the Key West Naval Operating Base and Capt. Tucker Gibbs, special aide to the commandant and a large party of high ranking naval officials of Key West.
While in Key West, Admiral Young will be the guest of Captain Gibbs, who he has known for many years during his naval career.
Admiral Young will meet officers in charge of the NOB supply department late today and will make a routine inspection and tour of the naval activities during the day.
