January 24. Letters from Rotterdam by the last Mail, declare, that Orders had been for some time dispatched to the different Settlements belonging to the States General, to assist the American Vessels as might put into their Ports. Their High Mightinesses being determined not to give the last Cause of Complaint to their old Allies the English.

In consequence of the above Instructions, the same Letters add, that two Bermudian Sloops having taken an English Guineaman, the latter end of November last, and carried her into St. Eustatia, the Governor of that Island directed the Crew immediately to be set at Liberty, and ordered the American Captain to depart with his Prize in three Days.
