The Union Mission Baptist Sunday School of Crozet had as its guests on its annual picnic, members of the Piedmont Baptist Sunday School of Yancey Mills.
Together, both groups journeyed to Roanoke, August 20, where they had a most enjoyable time at the Star City's Washington Park.
The trip was made in two busses chartered from Virginia Trailways Bus Service.
C. W. Maupin, Jr., superintendent of Union Mission Sunday School, was in charge.
Misses Jacqueline, Theresa and Carol Frye, of Washington, D. C. are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Guy Wood and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Washington of Washington, D. C., are visiting Mr. Washington's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Washington, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Fields Wood have as their weekend guests Mrs. Bernice Cox of Armistead, W. Va., and her daughter, Miss Frances Hope Cox. Also Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fye of Washington, D. C.
Miss Martha Spears of Maryland is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester Washington over the weekend.
Mrs. Mary Wood has as her guests, Misses Dorothea, Charlotte, Janet and Marjorie Frye of Washington, D. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dickinson and daughters, Misses Ann and Carol, spent Sunday with relatives and friends in Richmond, Va.
