Full Text

Greensburg. (Penn.) June 17.—Hay Making has commenced in this county, and our farmers are busily engaged in putting up a most abundant crop. The usual time to commence mowing is about the last of June or the first of July; and this year, therefore, the harvest will be over at least 10 or 12 days sooner than usual. The fruits of the earth, in every quarter from which we hear, will be uncommonly abundant.— What a blessing, and yet how few, out of the thousands who enjoy it, think of returning thanks to the Supreme Giver.
