VIENNA, Jan. 15.
As the period for opening the campaign approaches, the preparations for carrying it on with vigour are redoubled. Reinforcements for the army of the Rhine are continually arriving here, who after a stay of a few days to recover from the fatigues, continue their march for the armies with the utmost speed. In the same manner troops are marching for Italy, from the interior of Austria and Hungary.
The owners of houses in our suburbs have received orders, within the space of two days, to give in a list of all their male lodgers from 15 to 45 years of age, on pain of a fine of 300 florins. If they omit to state the names of any of their inmates, or report their age otherwise than what it is, they are also subject to heavy penalties.
The same plan will now likewise be adopted in the city.
General Klenau having received reinforcements from Gen. Hohenzollern, repulsed the French, and re-occupies his former position.
The English Ambassador, Lord Minto, is returned hither from Prague.
