For Farm Vehicles
SAN FRANCISCO. Dec 8—(UP)
—Operators of farm and other commercial vehicles in California and Washington will be permitted to obtain emergency rations of gasoline to maintain essential wartime transportation until local rationing boards are fully in operation, the regional office of price administration announced today.
The ruling affects trucks, passenger cars attached to fleets of commercial vehicles, publicly-owned vehicles and farm-operated commercial cars.
The plan, operative until Dec. 13 or until operators are able to get gasoline coupons from local boards, allows farm and commercial operators to obtain temporary permits from their local boards. Officials said that gasoline obtained this way will eventually be deducted from the vehicle's ration.
