CAIRO PLUMBERS WILL RETURN TO WORK TOMORROW MORNING—BOSSES SIGNED AGREEMENT.

What promised to result in a general strike among the union plumbers of Cairo was averted yesterday by the bosses signing the wage scale and agreement, and the plumbers will return to work tomorrow.

The scale and agreement, which is operative until six months after the time of signing, expired yesterday and it was some time before two of the employing plumbers, Michael Walder and Thomas W. Gannon, could be induced to sign the new agreement because a slight change had been made in it.

Mr. Walder signed the paper at 12:30, and yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock Mr. Gannon signed it.
