Caution to children.—On Saturday last, a little son of Mr. Nickerson, about seven years of age, while sliding upon the ice, fell into the river, near Mr. Dexter Thurber's Factory. It was supposed by those who first received the information, that the boy had been in the water over ten minutes, before he was taken out, as there was some delay before assistance was obtained to rescue him from the bottom of the river. Dr. Allen was sent for, and after an effort of about an hour, was enabled to resuscitate the boy, and restore him to the arms of his fond parents.—COMMUNICATED.
