Catholic Children's Choir Enjoys Caroling Party During Christmas

The Children's Choir of Little Flower Parish met on December 19 and enjoyed a "Christmas Caroling party." Over 60 children participated.

As the children walked along the streets of Browning singing carols, they stopped at the parish rectory and individual homes. Their last stop was at the hospital where they sang for some of the patients.

Upon returning to the church they concluded their songfest by singing hymns in Our Lady's Chapel. Then each child went to the altar rail where he received a wrapped Christmas gift of a blessed medal and chain.

A party followed in the church basement hall. Tables were decorated with brightly colored Christmas place mats and favors. Shrines made with statues, candles, pine boughs and cones served as centerpieces.

Refreshments of hot chocolate, cookies and candy were served.

Movies were taken of the group and will be shown at the February meeting of Our Lady of Fatima club.

The choir meets Monday after school and sings at the 9:30 Mass each Sunday. It is composed of boys and girls from the fifth through the ninth grades.
