Full Text

The Harvest In North Carolina.— The farmers give us the most melancholy intelligence respecting the wheat crops. The early heavy rains, in connexion perhaps with other causes, have produced a general, and in many cases, an almost total blight, so that wheat which would otherwise have produced thirty bushels to the acre, is deemed scarcely worth gathering. Farmers who a month ago, expected to reap three or four thousand bushels, have told us that now they do not expect to save their seed.—Edenton Miscellany.
