June 4. The American peace bill has at last passed the House of Commons: it was altered agreeable to the suggestions of Mr. Laurens, who thought it a sufficient ground for America to open a fresh negotiation with this country, and was in hopes it would be the means of restoring peace and harmony to both countries.

Westminster, June 17. This day the Lords, authorized by virtue of his Majesty's commission, gave the royal assent to an act to enable his Majesty to conclude a peace or truce with certain colonies in North America therein mentioned.
