Full Text
The Democratic House at Harrisburg needs to brace itself up and henceforth refuse any leaves of absence except for extreme cause. Its members are now working on the extra fifty days and they have no right to absent themselves in such numbers as to make the Saturday sessions a farce. The rules should be rigidly enforced. In the time left a great deal of important work can be done, but it will not be done if members absent themselves in numbers from so many sessions. The Democratic press of the state should prepare itself to black list those who are absent without good excuse.
