N. P. Trist.—This gentleman, says the New Orleans Delta of the 4th, left yesterday for his father's plantation, near New River. He will remain there a few days and thence proceed to his family, in Albemarle County, Virginia, where he will rest from his fatigues and cares incident to the very trying career he has had in Mexico for the last twelve months. It is, we understand, the intention of Mr. Trist, when he is quietly settled down in the mountains of Virginia, to prepare an address to the people of the United States, in which he will define his course in Mexico.
