Full Text

As an evidence of thrift among our farmers, we notice a number of very fine commodious barns. Horace Hazen, going on the road to Wolcott, has during past season erected one 40x60, part which is "three-stories." The first story framed of 10 inch timber: the second of 8 inch, and the third of 7 inch. It arranged after the best modern plan, is a good model for those contemplating building a new barn.

C. Cleaveland has also built a new one on his farm in "Battle Row," not so large yet quite pretty and convenient.

[Road name?] road, has already, as we predicted, made it 'blossom as the rose,' having built new barns and remodelled the house.

Noah Scribner, Esq., who lives about a mile below has this season finished the one commenced last year, which is probably the largest and most imposing one on the road.
