BOOZE JOINTS RAIDED

Sheriff G. Clinton Logan and Deputies in a recent raid of three booze joints at Octoraro arrested Henry De Maolo, Dominick De Maolo and Lewis Velotto, white, and John Davis, colored. The men were held under $500 each by Police Justice Gove S. Scotten for the September term of Court, on charges of having liquor in possession for sale.

The heads of barrels were knocked out of a number of barrels of wet goods by the officers.

Three colored women who could give no excuse for their presence in the shacks were each fined $25 and costs on charge of disorderly conduct.
