Full Text

The Committee to investigate the charges against masonry held another session last Saturday, Mr. Simmons attending solus. We do not know that any thing new relating to masonry was elicited, nor indeed why the Committee should think it material to have had that meeting; but it appeared somebody was apprized of it, for all those who were examined were zealous adhering masons, and most of them appeared with suitable depositions written out. Messrs. William C. Barker, Joseph S. Cooke, Moses Richardson, Christian M. Nestell, Thomas Sewell, Peter Grinnell, and Roger W. Potter handed in written depositions; and Messrs. William Trescott, John Wilder, and Luther Woodward were examined briefly and chiefly to substantiate what the others had written. The Committee adjourned at half past eight o'clock, sine die.
