WAR MOVEMENTS.

St. Lucia taken. --Capt Forbes, arrived at Newyork from St. Vincents, left there on the 25th ult An embargo had existed there for seven days. St. Lucia was taken by the English on the 22d ult. after a short resistance, in which several persons were killed and wounded. An expedition had sailed for Tobago, and it was reported that the latter island was also taken. Four French transports and one Guineaman were taken and brought into St. Vincents, before capt F. left the island.

The papers also announce numerous captures by the British in Europe and the Westindies: and several expeditions being on foot.
