Central Committee Hustling
For Reunion at White
City.
We do not know fully what efforts
are being made by the various
branches in the interest of the re-
union and outing of the Catholic
Knights of America and the Uniform
Rank, which takes place at the White
City on Monday, August 19, but with
the Central Committee at least all is
eager stir and bustle, and there is a
determination and enthusiasm that
is inspiring and presages success.
This outing will in a wide sense
be a reunion of all the Catholics of
the Falls Cities and will bring happi-
ness to those who want to properly
entertain the Kentucky State con-
vention when it meets in Louisville
next year. Tickets of admission are
now being sold and as many as can
are requested to secure them now
and thus help Miss Hill and the
other young ladies who have entered
the contest.
Through the kindness of Col. John
Whallen a special bill of amusements
will be put on for this occasion, and
in addition to the great Passion Play
the Knights will be interested in the
Johnstown flood, the fire show, Ven-
ice canals, the scenic railway, the
chutes, dancing pavilion and at least
eight of the other attractions. The
Central Committee met last night to
hear reports, and will hold two more
meetings next week to make still
further preparations, in the en-
deavor to score this year a greater
success than ever before.
