It is feared that two cases of small pox are developing at the Children's Day Nursery and Home on Church street, which has been recently reopened after a case of scarlet fever. Overseer of the Poor Edward Thurber was called to the home to look at the children who were admitted Friday morning, and whose parents came from Canada recently and secured employment in a local mill. An eruption was noticed on the children and the matron sent for a physician on the belief that they were cases of chicken pox. The children were questioned sharply, and it was found that there had been small pox in the family. The necessary precautions will be taken pending the development of the cases.
