such Cessions as the French, tho' so much reduced, are not disposed to make. In the mean Time Supplies are granted in England with Liberality; and the most active Preparations are continued for annoying the Enemy by Sea and Land. The Allied Army are still pressing upon the French, and gaining Advantages over them; and tho' the King of Prussia has received a considerable Blow, and lost a considerable Body of Men, by pursuing a Measure which the World terms rash, still he remains in a formidable State; and it seems to be a disputed Point, whether the Austrians or Prussians will remain Possessors of Saxony this Winter; and 'tis hoped the former will be forced to abandon it for want of Necessaries; in which Case their whole Campaign, with the Assistance of the Russians, will have proved a fruitless one. It seems our Affairs go on well in the East-Indies, and it is thought the French are in Fear for Pondicherry.
