Kenney Decorates Transport Fliers

ALLIED HEADQUARTERS, Australia, May 22 (UP)—Lt. Gen. G. C. Kenney, commander of Allied Air Forces in the southwest Pacific, awarded distinguished flying crosses today to 21 air transport fliers for extraordinary achievement in some 50 operational missions.

The fliers dropped supplies, transported troops and equipment and evacuated wounded men.

Those decorated included: Pvt. Joseph T. McIlvain, Prescott, Ariz., and Staff Sgt. William W. Forter, Santa Barbara, Calif.
