Ely Rebekahs Attend Meeting at Eveleth.

Mrs. Winifred Halamik of this city was elected vice president of the District Rebekah's at Eveleth Saturday.

Other officers chosen were Mrs. Clara Russ of Coleraine, president; Mrs. Ruth Maki of Biwabik secretary and treasurer.

The Ely lodge put on the memorial ceremony at the meeting. Mrs. J. Bubasi, Mrs. Leslie Nicholas, Mrs. Robert Nicholas, Mrs. W. Palmgard and Miss Lois Sandstrom leading in the work.

Mrs. John Nankervis assisted the Tower lodge in producing the tableau, "The Garden of Three Golden Links" representing Friendship, Truth and Love.

A distinguished guest at the meeting was Mrs. Edith Bentley of Brainerd, state president of the Rebekah Assembly. Mayor Floyd of Eveleth welcomed the guests and talks were made by several other notables of the order.

Twenty-three members from the Ely lodge were present as follows: Mesdames Bessie Kostelac, Olive Dunstan, Berle Hayden, Oswald Ellis, Clark Hayden, John T. Nankervis, William Palmgard, Emma Brobin, Sam Swanson, Leslie Nicholas, Helen Dargis, Robert Nicholas, Edward Strom, Joseph Goard, Anne Williams, Oscar Anderson, Joseph Bubash, Eya Wallace, Winifred Halamik, Sam Maki, John Mattila, and Mrs. McCarty of Eveleth and Miss Elma Rekkal.
