MILITARY.-Brev. Brig. General Stevenson left Fort Russell this morning, with his staff and two companies of the 30th U. S. Infantry, for North Platte crossing, where he will take command of Fort Steele, and build up a new camp. As he is to have a saw mill, and plenty of timber from that neighborhood, it will be an expense to the government of nails and paint only. Brevet Major General C. C. Augur arrived this morning from Salt Lake, and will remain here with Brig. Gen. Wessells, at Fort Russell, for a few days. Brev. Maj. Gen. A. Slemmer, commanding Fort Laramie, and Brev. Brig. Gen. L. C. Hunt, 4th U. S. Infantry, are expected here to-day, to resume their functions on Court Martial, which had adjourned for thirty days.
