CUSHING
May 15—Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Nygaard motored to Little Falls Wednesday afternoon.
The Ladies Aid of the Lutheran church of Cushing will meet Saturday, May 26, at the home of Mrs. A. J. Sundquist at 2 o'clock. Everybody welcome.
Oscar Winberg bought a new grain binder at this place Wednesday.
Luman Johnson is employed at C. Weyerhaeuser's place at Rail Prairie.
The Jefferson Highway guide posts were put up in this vicinity the first of the week.
The school in district No. 106 closed Friday, May 11, with a picnic. The teacher, Miss Anna Anderson, reports that there has been a good attendance at school the past term, although the roads this winter were nearly impassable for several months.
B. E. Nygaard motored to Little Falls Thursday evening for some repairs for an automobile which broke down about two miles north of town Thursday morning, which had to be towed in by another car from the garage here.
Henry Anderson motored to Little Falls Thursday.
The farmers of this locality are all through with planting corn and potatoes.
There was a good attendance at the services in the Lutheran church last Wednesday evening.
Miss Myrtle Nelson left Sunday for Duluth, where she will be employed.
Charlie Lund arrived home last week from North Dakota, where he has been employed for some time.
Oscar Taylor is laid up with a boil on his hand.
R. A. Nygaard, Frank Kastonak and Fred Anderson were in Little Falls on Monday, after a new touring car which Mr. Anderson purchased.
C. A. Anderson has purchased a new row boat motor.
Oscar Winberg motored to Little Falls Tuesday.
Frank Sall bought a new touring car last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Hawkinson and family left Tuesday morning for Grand Rapids, where they have purchased a farm and expect to make their future home.
R. A. Nygaard visited at Little Falls Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Bodin, who have been visiting friends and relatives at this place the past few weeks, left on Tuesday for their home at Little Falls.
The Dower Lumber Co., has erected a new lime and cement house at this place.
Rumors are that Andrew Lund has ordered a new touring car from the agent at this place.
A. J. Sundquist is doing carpenter work for A. Swanson.
There was a good attendance at the English services in the Baptist church Saturday evening.
Fred Anderson was in town Tuesday evening after a load of lumber for his garage, which he is going to build.
