Norfolk, Va. Oct. 27 - White parents in Norfolk filed suit in federal district court today asking that this port city's six integration-closed schools be returned to local control so the plaintiffs' children can be educated.

The suit named Gov. J. Lindsay Almond, Atty. Gen. Albertis S. Harrison Jr., Norfolk School Supt. J. J. Brewbaker and all members of the Norfolk School Board as defendants.

It was the first direct action taken by white parents in Virginia for re-opening of schools which have been closed by anti-integration laws.

The nine white couples who filed the suit contended their children were being denied equal protection under the law by being deprived of public education.

The suit was filed in the court of Judge Walter E. Hoffman, who handed down the original desegregation
