PORTSMOUTH, June 24.

On Saturday last, the General-Court was adjourned to the first Wednesday in January next, then to meet at Concord.—Very little business of a public nature has been done at this session, it being very short the time was chiefly taken up in hearing of petitions, &c.

The last Monday in August next is the time affixed on for towns to hold their meetings for the choice of federal representatives; the mode of choosing is the same as was practised at the last election.

Thursday the 25th day of November next is appointed to be observed as a day of Public Thanksgiving throughout this State.
