A carload of oranges as hard as pebbles from the brook bed are standing on a side track of the O. R. & N. company in Walla Walla,

The oranges were juicy and mellow when they left California consigned to a local commission house. The chilly blasts which they have encountered since getting into the frosty Northwest are responsible for their present frozen condition.

Just who will be obliged to stand for the loss has not been settled. The local commission company declare they will not.
