Did the Boy Do the Deed?
Elyria, Ohio, June 15.-Further developments Tuesday point strongly to the 12-year-old son of the murdered Mrs. Bell, despite his tender years, as the perpetrator. The boy was almost soaked in blood, which he says was on him when he was awakened by the pistol shots, two of which, it transpires, took effect in Mrs. Bell's head before she was almost beheaded with an ax. The boy's father stoutly maintains that the boy's story is true about the tramps; that blood was thrown on him while asleep, and that he will stand by him to the last.
There is no clew to the tramps.
