On Praying For Others

There was nothing special about it the other Sunday. It is frequently done in the worship of the Chapel's congregation, and the prayer is included too in churches throughout the land. No one felt it to be something added for the occasion.
"We beseech Thee, O God, to remember the President of the United States..."
There was nothing special about the prayer that Sunday except that He was there with us! Perhaps, as a result of that impressive moment, many of us gave another thought to the practice of praying for others.
Many a man has left home to join the Navy or go to sea or return to his ship with a memory of his father or his mother saying, "Son, I'll always be praying for you while you're gone." In the embarrassment of his confident youth he may have considered this unnecessary, but life teaches him its power.
