ROBBERY IN THE CARS.—A lady who came into town by the Fitchburg train, yesterday morning, on her arrival missed her purse. She put it in the top of a small hand basket, the crown of which shut in so that it could not have dropped out unless when the basket is open. She opened it once on the way, to show a friend a daguerreotype, but thinks she could not have dropped it then, and, on searching the car, it was not found upon the floor. There is little doubt that it was abstracted by some adroit thief.
