President Said to Have Started Investigation of the Big Colorado Smelter Trust.

DENVER Jan. 15.-Opponents of Guggenheim the smelter trust king who is almost certain to be elected to the senate Wednesday declare President Roosevelt has indirectly entered the senatorial fight and ordered an investigation of the smelter trust which is controlled by the Guggenheim brothers. It is claimed the president does not like the Guggenheim trust affiliations.

Indisputable information says an investigation is in progress.
