Cleveland GOP Hit For Non-Endorsement

CLEVELAND - (NNPA) - Local colored Republican leaders were outspoken in their criticism of the Cuyahoga County Republican Executive committee for failing to endorse three Negro candidates for public office in the coming May primary elections.

Chester K. Gillespie a candidate for juvenile court bench, William C. Walker, incumbent member of the Republican state central committee, and Clarence Sharpe, a candidate for county commissioner, were denied the support of the county-wide GOP group.
