Full Text

Col. F. L. Harci.-This gentleman occupies a queer position upon the question of the day. It will be recollected that when the Douglas meeting took place in the Theater, in this city, shortly after Senator Douglas' first speech arrived here, the Col. was announced, in large capitals, as one of the Speakers. He was present, in an orchestra seat, in the Theater, and would have spoken, but made way for Sutter's favorite son, Z. Montgomery, Esq. Now he is over on the other side. Uncle Frank, it looks slippery.
