BURRUS HONORED AS SCHOLAR AND ATHLETE

MADISON, Wis.—Jefferson D. Burrus, Louisville, Ky., has been awarded the conference medal for scholarship and athletic ability by the athletic council of the University of Wisconsin.

Lloyd Larson, Milwaukee, pushed Burrus so closely for this honor that a special trophy was given him.

Burrus has won seven letters in football, crew, and other sports. He is captain of the varsity shell this year; a member of Phi Beta Kappa, honorary scholastic fraternity, and will go to Oxford next fall as Rhodes scholar from Wisconsin.
