Copenhagen, Dec. 26. The Mathematician who was sent by the King some Time ago into Iceland to make Astronomical Observations, and examine into the Nature and Productions of that Country, has sent Memorials concerning the Discoveries he has made. He observes, among other Things, that this Island produces a great Quantity of Salt-petre, and there is Earth in some Places of it fit to make China, and Stones there which contain Silver, &c. He has sent some of these Stones here, and according to the Assay which was made of them, it appeared that 100 lb. Weight of them, produced six Ounces of fine Silver.
