Talk
By Walter McMullen
This column will endeavor
to
bring to light the goings-on in the
city's public high schools. We hope
you'll like it.
It is rumored that Howard Brown
is working. It seems as if the age
old adage that "Truth is Stranger
than Fiction" is again coming to
light...At the triple J's dance at Forum
Hall Friday night, Joe Lewis
was seen getting his kicks" with
Margaret O'Doul. Maybe the song
has ended but the melody lingers
on for Jimmy Watkins.
Charles Murray is singing I Got
Troubie, Double
Trouble"
these
days...James Flowers is in a daze
over the peolas at DuSable. Maybe
it's all one
sided,
who
knows...
James
Bell has butterfingers. It
seems as if all the flychicks just
run through his fingers. Better get
a grip on one, Jimmy, and hold on
for all you're worth.
Who is it that Ed Howard's chasing
now? His car is always seen
parked in front of St.
Lawrence
and 46th Place...Portia Trotter is
competing in the S & L popularity
contest. Good luck, kid, you'll be
able to use it...The two dancing cu-
ties who did their number in the
middle of the floor at the dance Fri-
day, here's a tip for you. They say
its getting boresome. Grow up, fel-
lows, grow up.
Jack Brown is doing pretty nicely
with his new Buick in the Wood-
lawn territory We wonder if it is
Jack's overwhelming personality
or the shining chassis of the new
car. And that is food for thought...
