WRANGELL
You're wrong, folks, the new writer of this column hasn't been hibernating, not dead, didn't get married or suffer the pains of a divorce.
We've been on the job day and night for several months gathering material and our sleuthing has carried us into every nook and corner of our fair city, and do we have the dope, or do we.
Of course you know the purpose of this line of chatter is to divulge those little secrets and what-nots that do not find their way into the regular columns of this newspaper or any other. In fact, men have been shot for doing less. However, life is a gamble and we will let Lady Fate rule.
Some may doubt the truthfulness of these brief paragraphs, but when ye scribe casts his glimmers on the actions of our good citizens and lends an ear to the slips of the tongue in gossip, there is that desire to publish the findings, and we will let you be the judge of its authenticity.
We welcome your help from week to week and if you are a lover of good, clean indoor sports, such as this, you will be doing us a great favor by tipping us off to those little news items that come amiss to our ears and eyes.
