Full Text

GUADALAJARA -(ANP)- Hooray for the classic remark of NAACP Attorney Thurgood Marshall that 93 years is a long wait.

As you know, Thurgood Marshall's remark was made after several prominent people asked the Negroes to slow down a bit or to take it easy. stop and rest a moment.' Wait! Wait! Wait!.......

When I was a little boy in Chicago. we used to say:

Wait? Weight broke the bridge down."

The long wait is breaking the bridge of white supremacy and racial discrimination.

Hooray for Thurgood Marshall, and all the new fighting leaders like Charles C. Diggs, who is a chip off the block of his hard fighting dad who got jobs (first jobs) for Negroes in Lansing. Mich., and Detroit, the Rev. Adam Clayton Powell.
