Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Hamilton of New Camp, have as house guests the latter's sister, Mrs. Alvin Oaks, and Mrs. Powell Paxton of Buena Vista, Va., and Mrs. F. A. Short of Huntington.

Richard and Donald Bradley, students at West Virginia university, Morgantown, are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bradley, Sr., in South Williamson, during mid-semester vacation.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Lowe and daughters, Ruth Jean and Carol Sue, this city, spent the weekend in Huntington visiting Mrs. Kern Caudill, who recently underwent an operation in St. Mary's hospital. Mrs. Caudill is reported to be much improved.

Miss June Bailey, a student at King College, Bristol, Tenn., is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Bailey, of Pond creek.

Mr. and Mrs. D. D. McMullin of Dickinson street, are expected to return home this afternoon from a visit in Tuscaloosa, Ala. They will be accompanied by the former's mother, Mrs. O. P. McMullin of Seebree, Ky.

Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hodges of Watkins street have as guests their son, Douglas Hodges, and his fiancee, Miss Evelyn Harrison, of Westfield, N. J. Both are students at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, and are on mid-semester vacations.

Mrs. Garland Callihan, of Second avenue, is confined to her home because of illness of influenza.

Friends here have been advised that Dr. C. E. Peery, formerly of Majestic, Ky., remains seriously ill in a hospital at McMinnville, Tenn.

Mrs. Floyd Chafin, who has been receiving treatment for a bronchial ailment in St. Mary's hospital, Huntington, returned to her home here Sunday. She was accompanied home by Mr. Chafin.

Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Pauley and children and Mrs. Fannie Rutherford, of Pikeville, Ky., were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norvell Bevins of South Williamson.

Mrs. Albert Kick, Jr., of Jeffersonville, N. Y., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Williamson at Pinsonfork, Ky.

Gene Kiser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kiser, of Meador, is receiving treatment in the local hospital.

Ralph Staten, Jr., of O'Keeffe, is recovering from an operation in the local hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. John Alley of Iaeger were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Brewer of Kermit. Mrs. Alley is president of the Rebekah Assembly of West Virginia.

Mrs. Betty McKee of Huntington, vice president of the Rebekah Assembly of West Virginia, and Mrs. Alta Mae Caudill, district deputy president of District 19, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Brewer of Kermit Friday night.

Mrs. Braxter Skeens has returned to her home at Meador after being a patient in a hospital in Charlottesville, Va.

Mrs. Howard Persinger, of this city, is a patient in the local hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Overton and two daughters, of Richmond, Ind., called on friends in Williamson yesterday. Mr. Overton was officer in charge of the local Salvation Army citadel preceding Capt. T. H. Overton, a distant cousin.

Mrs. Dennis Alley and infant daughter have been removed from the local hospital to her home in South Williamson.

Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Cook and daughter, Margaret Carol, and Mrs. Mildred Cook of North Matewan, are spending a couple of weeks in Florida.

Mrs. George Smith of Gilbert was admitted this week to Grace hospital in Welch for treatment.

Mrs. Pete Rose is quite ill at her home on Beech creek.

Pfc. and Mrs. John T. Deskins and daughter, Nancy Faye, have returned from North Carolina to the home of the former's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Deskins of Belfry, Ky. Pfc. Deskins was a patient in a veterans hospital in North Carolina until recently being discharged.

Tom Dotson is visiting friends and relatives in Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam McFarlin of New Town had as dinner guests Sunday, the following: Mr. and Mrs. Costa Vaselaros and son Sammie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frazier and son Freddie, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Parker and daughter Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Rite and daughter Phyllis, Mr. and Mrs. Ules Prator, Troy Frazier, Harold McFarlin, and John and Hannah Christian.

Asa Varney of Huddy, Ky., is a patient in the local hospital.

Mrs. Evan Thomas of South Williamson spent Tuesday in Pikeville, Ky., visiting her sister, Mrs. Linton Trivette, and her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Miller and family.

Gus Allison, of West Williamson, remains a patient in the local hospital.

Mrs. Rell Smith is confined to her home on Third avenue because of illness of pneumonia.

C. O. Smith of Carbon Glow, Ky., is a patient in the local hospital for treatment.

Mrs. James M. Smith and infant son, Joseph Albert, have returned to their home here after a visit with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. A. R. Young of Logan.

The Rev. Wendell H. Walker, of South Williamson, was a business visitor in Pikeville Tuesday.

Mrs. Curtis Moore and daughter, Sandra Fay, of Lando Mines, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Smythe of Stone, Ky.

Mrs. Belle McDonald of Cookville, Tenn., has returned to her home after spending a week with her daughter, Mrs. Youlas Allred of Stone, Ky.

Baby Violet Manmoe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Manmoe of Goodman avenue, is receiving treatment in the local hospital.
