Golf Club Notes

Water conditions on the course are much improved by the heat of the last two weeks. After the recent rains the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th holes were virtually marshes.

The Tournament Committee reports that it has nearly completed the work of fixing handicaps for the players. Handicaps are figured on the three best scores submitted. 75 per cent of the difference between the average of the three scores and par is usually taken as the handicap.

A meeting of officers and committee chairmen will be held tonight at 7 o'clock at the club house.

The first official tournament will be held on August 20 and 21 for men and women.
