Advices from Morocco, state that the Emperor having left his capital with an army he had collected there, for the purpose of putting down an insurrection that existed in the province of Zizara, his army abandoned him and dispersed; and his own person, as well as those of his chiefs who accompanied him, were exposed to the greatest danger. This event had caused a great alarm in the empire, giving rise at the same time to fresh commotions. In consequence of the intercepted state of the roads, the Swedish ambassador had not been able to quit Mogadore for the capital of Morocco.
