PROSPECTUS OF THE STETHOSCOPE. AND VIRGINIA MEDICAL GAZETTE
THIS Journal will be issued on the first of each month, each number containing 60 large octavo pages, making near 800 pages of reading matter annually. It will be devoted to Medical Science generally, Original Articles and Contributions from the profession throughout the country, reviews of the important publications in this country and abroad, and a full record of what is transpiring in the Medical world.
Expensive arrangements have been made to give a digest and important extracts from the European Journals, as soon as they arrive in this country. Interesting operations, cliniques and cases occurring in the Infirmary of the Richmond Medical College and other public institutions in Virginia, as well as in private practice, will be regularly reported. Also, the transactions of the "Medical Society of Virginia," and such others as will furnish their proceedings.
Terms. Three Dollars per annum, in advance, or Four Dollars per annum, if paid after the middle of the year.
A liberal discount will be given to agents and canvassers.
All communications to be addressed to the Editor and Proprietor, post paid, or they will not be taken from the office.
Special arrangements for Clubs, &c., of a line or two will be made.
Advertisements to be paid for in advance. No quack medicine advertisements will be taken.
