George W. Frost's Case.

Ex-Indian Agent Frost on Saturday addressed a letter to the interior department containing the following inquiry in relation to a dispatch which appeared in this and other papers, classing him with agents dismissed for fraud:

Will you please inform me what information was transmitted as to my removal? The dispatch was all the more surprising and unjust, as it is well known, and has been telegraphed by the Associated press, that I met the ring of Indian thieves and corrupt traders—who have demanded the removal of every agent who would not allow them to cheat and despoil the Indians—in court, and received a triumphant acquittal from their frivolous and malicious charges; that I compelled the military officer who seized my agency to retract over his own signature in the public press the charges that he had telegraphed over the country against me, and except as to technicalities come out of the Indian service with a clean record.

Very respectfully,

GEORGE W. FROST.
