Full Text
A few men about a city or town stand up for their community all the time - a good many stand up for it a part of the time and a good many more are always growling and grumbling about it - but whatever the attitude of others may be, the local newspaper is on guard 365 days in the year, always loyal and always standing up for the best interests of the community in every way. Every well edited local paper preaches the doctrine of good citizenship and fair play in all things. It advocates those things that are honest, just and true. The better the support given the local newspaper, the stronger it becomes, the more it can benefit its community and every inhabitant thereof.
