Mr. James G. Nock visited Onley during the holidays.

Capt. Bernard Long made a business trip to Pocomoke, Md., January 5.

Circle No. 2 met at the home of Mrs. E. T. Powell Sr. on last Monday evening.

Rev. and Mrs. E. C. Clyde announce the birth of a son, Edward Calvin, on January 7.

Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bullman are visiting their son, Mr. Percy Bullman, in Philadelphia.

Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Byrd are in Norfolk, this week, visiting their son, Mr. Harold Byrd.

Miss Helen Richardson spent a few days of the holidays in Princess Anne, Md., visiting friends.

Miss Doris Young went to Norfolk Thursday to visit her mother, who is in Sarah Leigh Hospital.

Mr. Jack Mister, of Pocomoke, spent part of the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Mister.

Mr. Jack Byrd, of Norfolk, was the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Byrd, during the holidays.

Mr. Elwood Richardson made a business trip to Buffalo, New York, and Philadelphia, during the holidays.

Those on the sick list are Mrs. James A. Doughty and Mr. Harry Scarborough and Miss Janie Mears.

Misses Lucille and Gladys Phillips entertained quite a number of their friends on Friday evening, January 6.

Capt. and Mrs. Bernard Long entertained quite a number of their friends at 6 o'clock dinner on January 3rd.

Mr. and Mrs. O. Fuller Hall and Miss Aline Burton motored to Snow Hill, Md., on December 31 to visit friends.

Our mid-week prayer meetings met at the homes of Rev. G. B. King and Mrs. Ralph Bailey, on Wednesday evening.

Miss Stella Richardson, of Exmore was a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chandler, during the holidays.

Mr. John Young has returned to Washington, D. C., after spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Young.

Mrs. J. H. Young, who was taken to Sarah Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, two weeks ago was operated on January 7 and is doing nicely.

Mrs. George Phillips and little Billy Mapp have returned home from Baltimore, where they have been visiting relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Burton, of Philadelphia, have returned home after spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Core.

Misses Virginia Willis and Susie White, of Washington, D. C., spent the holidays with their parents, Mrs. Sadie Willis and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. White.

Mr. and Mrs. John Outten and children, of Norfolk, were guests in the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Bell, during the holidays.

Mr. Tom Powell, of Philadelphia, Pa., spent a few days at Hotel Wachapreague with his sisters, Mrs. H. S. Fosque and Miss Louise Powell, during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nevin and children, Fred and Margaret, of Hilton Village, have returned home after spending several days with her mother, Mrs. E. T. Powell, Sr.

Mrs. E. O. Stiles, Mrs. W. D. Davis, Mrs. J. T. Nock and Mrs. Yula Doughty entertained the Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. W. D. Davis. After the business meeting, refreshments were served.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Turlington, Miss Annie Lewis, Messrs. Clarence and John Tull beautifully entertained the Golden Link Missionary Society on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Will Turlington. There was a large attendance. Refreshments were served.

Among those who spent the Christmas holidays with their parents and relatives and have returned to their schools are Miss Dorothy Fosque, Harrisonburg, Miss Frances Fosque, Fredericksburg, Messrs. Clifton Stiles, George Mapp, Randolph Macon College, and Mr. Milton Parker, Lynchburg.

Mr. and Mrs. John O. Phillips, of Wildwood, N. J., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Spence and children, Elward and Floyd, of Hampton, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. George T. Parker and children, Etta Mae, Margaret and Elton, of Keller, were guests in the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Phillips, during the holidays.
