Full Text

The Missionary and Anti-Slavery Cause.

To a brother of another denomination who loves both it and the Freewill Baptists, it appears that in their present peculiar attitude, Christians who have sundered all their pro-slavery connections, cannot in any way help the poor slave so effectually, as by embarking with all their energies in the Foreign Mission work. Come, then, brethren and sisters, all ye who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity, bring Him your richest, freest offerings. "He that watereth shall be watered also himself" is true in some measure of nations as of individuals. A new and mighty effort to spread the gospel in other lands, might be followed with a most blessed reaction on the slave plantations of our own.

A CONGREGATIONALIST.
