We understand that the bridge over Frenchman's bay in the town of Sullivan, was made passable for travellers the week before last, and that twenty dollars toll were taken on the day it was opened. For this safe and convenient passage over waters hitherto passed by the most dangerous and inconvenient Ferry in New-England, the public are indebted to the enterprize and energy of Col. John Sargent, of Sullivan, whose perseverance deserves ample reward.

—There are now but three ferries to be crossed on the sea-board route from New York to Eastport.
