WARREN ASSOCIATION.

This Body held its 59th Anniversary in the Baptist Meeting-House, in Warren, the town in which it was originally formed, on Tuesday and Wednesday last. After an excellent discourse from James iv. 10, by Rev. Benjamin Putnam, of Randolph, the Body was formed by the choice of Rev. David Benedict, Moderator. (Rev. Stephen Gano, who had been elected to that office 19 years in succession, having declined). Rev. William Gammell, Clerk, and H. H. Brown, Assistant Clerk. Although it appeared by the letters from the Churches, that no special revivals had been experienced during the past year, yet a good degree of love and fellowship prevailed amongst them. The following returns were rendered from the 59 Churches composing the Association: Restored, during the year, 5; added by baptism, 57; by letter, 28; dismissed, 55; excluded, 35; died, 57; present number of communicants, 3540. There are at this time, 13 Churches in this Body destitute of settled Pastors. The amount raised by the Association for benevolent and charitable objects, exceeded, it is believed, that of any former year, amounting to upwards of $100. The session was throughout harmonious and pleasant, the religious exercises solemn and interesting, and witnessed by an overflowing audience: and having completed the business for which it convened, the Association separated about 1 o'clock on Wednesday, after a solemn and affectionate Address, and fervent Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Gano, to meet at Randolph, the Tuesday succeeding the first Wednesday in September next.--Gaz.
