KIWANIS CLUB WILL ENTERTAIN THE BAND

PROMINENT SPEAKER WILL ADDRESS TWO ORGANIZATIONS AT BARBECUE.

The Dawson Kiwanis club, practicing their preaching of "We Build," will entertain the members of Dawson's band with a barbecue on Thursday afternoon, July 23rd.

With the exception of a few guests, including a prominent speaker and possibly the governor of Georgia, the affair will be strictly a social one for the members of the band and the Kiwanis club.

Mr. R. R. Marlin, secretary of the club, states that besides the address an entertaining program has been arranged, and a most enjoyable event is planned for the local musicians.

According to Mr. Marlin the club believes Dawson has no better asset than the band, and the barbecue will be given as an appreciation of the numerous services by that organization both to the Kiwanis club and other civic organizations of the city.
